Top TV shows returning to grace our screens this fall

The Fall has arrived and our beloved TV shows have returned after their break. Time to get back to our shows that we have been waiting for all this summer. Here are some of the shows that are returning on TV or Online subscription platforms this Fall. There are no spoilers in the description for those who haven’t yet seen the previous seasons of the Shows.

The Good Place

The Good Place is a comedy TV show which takes place in the afterlife where our protagonist seemingly goes to the “Good Place” even though she knows she doesn’t deserve to be there. After great first 3 seasons, the 4th season of The Good Place has returned. It continues the adventures of  Eleanor Shellstrop (Kristen Bell), Chidi Anagonye (William Jackson Harper), Tahani Al-Jamil (Jameela Jamil) and Jason Mendoza (Manny Jacinto) as they are faced with different struggles to be worthy of staying in The Good Place in the afterlife. Season 4 started airing September 26, 2019.

Peaky Blinders

Based on a gangster family in the 1919s Birmingham, England. The show follows the lead Thomas Shelby (played by Cillian Murphy), the leader of the gang. This crime drama is loosely based on the real-life gang present in the early twentieth century. The series had a great audience and critics admiration receiving BAFTA award for best drama series. Peaky blinder returned on BBC One in August and 4 October on Netflix.

The Good Doctor

The Good Doctor is based on a South Korean show of the same name. The show follows the struggles of a surgeon with autism who shows remarkable depth of commitment to his profession. The series highlights the life of Shawn Murphy (played by Freddie Highmore) in different social exchanges and his fight to carry on doing what he loves with the hinderance of his autism. The 3rd season of The Good Doctor started airing on ABC on September 23, 2019.


DC’s Titans is a dark take on the Teen Titans series. The first season premiered last year and a lot of the DC fans liked the series and are eager for the 2nd season. Titans first series looked to gather up the vigilantes that will become the titans. The 2nd season will carry on the action where they left off at the cliffhanger ending of the 1st season. Titans mainly focuses on the Dick Grayson (Former Robin played by Brenton Thwaites ), Starfire(known as Koriand’r played by), Raven(known Rachel Roth as played by Teagan Croft) and BeastBoy(known Gar Logan as played by Ryan Potter). The 2nd season started airing on September 6, 2019.


Supernatural has its own fan following and those fans were eagerly waiting for the final season of the epic show that is supernatural. This horror show follows the Winchester brothers Dean and Sam (played by Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki respectively) as they battle against the Evil supernatural entities for the safeguard of the human race. The show had its ups and downs in its previous 14 seasons with some great and some not so great seasons. The 15th season will end the epic saga of the supernatural series. The last season started airing on the CW on October 10 and will have 20 episodes.
