It has been a couple of days since the launch of the latest Call of Duty game. We have had this weekend to play it and get to know it a little bit. So let’s delve into the latest new features of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. The last few iterations in the CoD franchise didn’t do well with their player base. The game is not a simple remake of the 2007’s Epic release of the same name. 2019s CoD is based on the Syrian war and its consequences.

SinglePlayer

The singleplayer gameplay is a welcomed 4 to 5 hours of gameplay. The story makes US army the good guys and the rest well you know what. The distinction between the good and the bad guys is very clear. The storyline can get very gruesome, from women and children dying to suicide bombers attacking. The storyline does not become static where you just point and shoot the bad guys. There are multiple scenarios where your actions change the course of the storyline. Some close-quarters fighting that can become very intense and gives a fresh new take on the CoD games. There is a point in the game where you need to get a civilian out of a terrorist occupied building. Instead of using your gun you can only use stealth and security cameras to guide the civilian out of that building. The graphics are the best we have ever seen, including facial expressions which are lifelike to the point where it is hard to distinguish them from a movie.

Multiplayer

The multiplayer mode of the game is good enough if not great if you only installed CoD for the multiplayer or you have already completed the single-player storyline. It does a great job with new vastly bigger maps for the new 10v10 Team Deathmatch multiplayer mode.  There are a lot of other game modes to choose from as well which include Survival, Search & Destroy, Kill Confirmed, Ground War, Free-For-All, Defender, Demolition, Drop Zone, Hardpoint, One In The Chamber, Search & Rescue and Invasion. The wide variety of game modes gives players a lot of options to play and enjoy. This is by no means an easy game to play. With very big maps and a lot of weapons to choose from there is a learning curve that new players will have to go through.

This is a fresh new take in the franchise and one we are truly enjoying at the moment. For more upcoming reviews and information feel free to visit us again in the future.
